Special Projects

Mural Project: Our school worked on a mural in celebration of a very special teacher who had touched the lives of many. Students in grades 4 through 6 worked on black and white images that reminded them of Mrs. Netto. Ms. Ketterer then prepped 8'X4' panels. She projected the student drawings and organized their ideas into one 8'X16' mural. The panels were made ready for the students to paint during the December school break. When students returned after the break, each class added color to the panels by using cotton swabs and mini pallettes of acrylic paint. This process filtered through each class throughout one full week. Upon completion, the panels were attached to the hallway to the right of our current mural. This process required the efforts of many.
