    Marlborough Elementary School is a school system that is a reflection of Board of Education, staff and community dedication to public education. Located on state Route 2, less than 45 minutes from Norwich, New London, Middletown, Willimantic and Hartford, Marlborough is a small town that retains a unique mixture of past and present. The school system serves 450 students PreK-6.

    Background Investigation

    Public Act 93-238 An Act Concerning Applicants for School Employee Positions requires that each applicant for a position in the public schools be fingerprinted and be determined if such person has ever been convicted of a crime, or whether criminal charges are pending against such person at the time of application. Negative results would preclude employment at the time of application.

    Also prior to hiring any person for a position, the district shall require each applicant to submit to a records check of information maintained on the DCF Registry concerning the applicant.
